Prices for some rare earth products continued falling this week.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 11 (SMM) – Prices for some rare earth products continued falling this week.

Prices were down for europium oxide, gadolinium oxide, erbium oxide and praseodymium neodymium products.

Small producers or traders cut offers due to heavy sales pressure, the main reason behind price declines, SMM explained.

For example, large producers held offers for praseodymium neodymium metal stable at 590,000-620,000 yuan/tonne, while small producers cut offers to 530,000-550,000 yuan/tonne.

Europium oxide prices fell to below 500,000 yuan/tonne.
